What I'm Reading At The Moment

Hey Guys!

So this wasn't my original post for today but I have officially left school today!! So I need to whip something up quickly!

I thought seeing as I'm an avid reader and one of those people who reads more than one book at a time I thought I would share with you the books that I am reading right at this moment in time!

1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

This book is the biggest book I have read so far with it being 800+ pages!! And it is incredible. It is historical fiction which honestly I never thought I would like but boy was I wrong! Outlander is a book about a women called Claire who is transported back in time to 1743 in Scotland during the time that England was trying to take over Scotland. She meets a young Scotsman called Jamie and they fall into a passionate romance even though she is already married! This book is part of a series and I can't wait to see how it finishes!

2. Everyday by David Levithan

I had read books by David Levithan before but it was always co-written and have loved so decided to give one of his solo books a go and I am really enjoying it! The plot is like nothing I have ever heard of and is what really draws me it. It is about a boy called X who changes into a different body everyday it could be a girl it could be a boy and he has to go and live their life as if nothing is any different.

3. Wild by Cheryl Strayed

I decided to start reading this book for 2 reasons. The first being that I am interesting in solo travel and thought that reading this book would give me a bit of an insight, which is has. The second is that it was actually made into a film that looked quite good and as a book lover will always say read the book first!!!

4. Darkness of Light by Stacey Marie Brown

Finally I am reading Darkness Of Light which I decided to start reading because of a BookTuber. This book is amazing and I am really enjoying it at the moment! It is about a girl called Ember and strange things seem to happen around her that she just can't explain. Throughout the book Ember gets more and more worried about these things and tries to work out why they are happening to her. Fun Fact this book is actually FREE on Kindle is you fancy reading it!

And that is what I am reading at the moment! What are you reading?

Perfect Study Snacks

Hey Guys!

Today's post is about the perfect food to eat while you are studying especially since exams are coming up and reaching for unhealthy food isn't really the best idea! Some of these snacks you can buy and other are some that you can make yourself!

Snacks You Can Buy

  • Granola Bars - These are kind of obvious but certainly great and they taste great as well!
  • Pretzels - The healthier version to crisps. Honestly I also go to grab a packet of crisps when I'm hungry but pretzels are way better for you!
  • Almonds or any type of nut - Go for the unsalted kind if you want to be extra healthy!
  • Greek Yogurt - These are great to have espeically during a study break with a cup of tea! You can get the flavoured kind or just your average Greek Yogurt whatever you prefer!
  • String Cheese - When I was doing my research this one kept coming up and even though it is really bizarre it is a really good one because peeling away at the cheese makes your brain focus on something other than your studies!

Snacks You Can Make

  • Frozen Yogurt Covered Fruit - These are perfect just to munch on while you are studying you could make them the night before or whenever really! I use raspberries usually or strawberries but the recipe uses blueberries so it just shows you can use whatever!  Click Here For Recipe
  • Nutella Energy Bites - Sometimes you just really need some chocolate while studying and that is why these are just perfect! Plus you don't have to actually cook them which is always a bonus! Click Here For Recipe
  • Avocado Toast - Avocado's are great for you and instead of putting just plain butter on your toast this makes it just that bit more exciting. Also it only takes minutes to make so instant yummy food! Click Here For Recipe
  • No Bake Granola Bars - If you don't want to go out and buy Granola Bars why not make your own? This recipe is great because the bars can last up to one weeks so that is quite a few study snack sessions already done so you have more free time! Click here For Recipe
  • Banana And Peanut Butte Bites - Two of my favourite things combined into one! Peanut Butter is a flavour I have been obsessed with recently and that is why I have been loving this recently! They are tasty and also super easy to make! Click Here For Recipe

There you have 5 different study snacks some you can make yourself because who doesn't love to cook and also some you can go and buy when you are in one of those super lazy moods!

Which ones are your favourite?

When I'm Anxious I... | Have A Cup Of Tea

Hey Guys!

First off I want to apologise for not posting yesterday but it was my first day back at school and it totally wiped me out! Honestly as soon as I got home I just went to my bed and watched TV and read my book.

But have no fear because today I will be posting twice so that I will still be completely the Ultimate Blog Challenge!

You guys seem to love these types of posts so today I am here with another one!

One of the easiest things that I do when I feeling anxious is make a cup of tea.

Not only drinking the tea helps to calm me down but also the action of making it because it is something that I do constantly throughout the day so it is something that I don't really think about.

Tea especially Herbal Tea can help give you some relief with your anxiety but as with lot's of things drinking tea alone isn't going to help you will need to have other coping strategies as well. If you want me to do a post on some of these then let me know in the comments below!

Also drinking tea is great because it has non-medicinal properties so as well as helping with your anxiety it also hydrates you which helps your body immensely, some people with anxiety (me included) don't drink enough water or anything really and this can lead to making your symptoms worse!

It is a calm activity so that is why drinking tea is perfect for people who have anxiety or are stressed because you can't exactly run around while drinking tea. Have slow, calming activity is something that people with anxiety need a bit more often more than most people because we need time to sit and just take a breath.

Specific types of tea can also help with your anxiety espeically Kava, Passionflower and Valerian Root but these are harder to come by the more common ones that I drink are Chamomile, Peppermint and Lemon. For these I use a brand called Suki Tea which I talk about quite a bit on my blog. I like this brand because it is loose tea and that is pretty much it!

Of course when you are out and about and not at home and you have a panic attack this happens to me all the time I need to take a break so even if you go into a cafe even if it is just for 15 minutes and get a tea then I can guarantee you will feel quite a bit better.

Remember though you can't just drink tea alone and think that is going to help with your anxiety you also need to have other comping strategies to go along with it!

Do think drinking tea helps with your anxiety?

My Top 3 BookTubers

Hey Guys!

Over the past 2 months I have been discovering the land that is BookTube and I have fallen in love!

With every video I watch I find another 10 books that I want to read which is frustrating but also really exciting because it is fun keeping up to date with lot's of new books!

Today I thought I would share my top 3 BookTuber channels for you to go and check out if you haven't subscribed to them already!

1. Katytastic

Kat was the first BookTube channel that I subscribed to and I am so glad that I did! You can really tell from the way that Kat talks about the books that she really loves them and plus she has a thing for Herondale's which we all know is the way to go in life! I really enjoy her videos and seeing her try to complete her reading challenge for the year.

2. Benjaminoftomes

First off I actually have no idea how you pronounce this channels name haha but I adore Ben's video! Being British is great because I get to see what is happening in the UK stores as well as hear about unknown UK authors. Ben's videos are so cute and I love the way he gets so exciteable! I am loving his new series called 'Free Book Friday' where he tells you about a free ebook.

3. Abookuptopia

Sasha is by far my favourite BookTuber that's for sure! Her obsession with Scotland is honestly amazing even though I don't really understand it (me being from Scotland and all!). She is going through a historical fiction stage right now and I am reading a book she doesn't stop talking about called Outlander which is fab and you should all go and read it! Also she just seems so lovely and a person I would be friends with if she lived in Scotland with me!

There you have it my top 3 BookTubers! Do you watch BookTube? if so who are your favourites?

Weekend Roundup

Hey Guys

First off I just want to apologise for today's post because it is kind of a lazy one but it has been quite busy over the weekend in the Lauder household.

My sister from Norway came to visit for the weekend so the rest of family decided to make it a whole family occasion and come and visit too!

She didn't arrive till late  Friday night but during the day was spent with my Mum preparing for all of our visitors by going food shopping and cleaning the house and then I had a doctors appointment so it was full speed ahead!

Saturday morning was quite a relaxing one seeing as we only had one visitor! But by lunchtime the house was heaving with people and with dogs! The weather has been amazing all weekend and we spent lot's of our time catching up in our sun room the outside to get our tan on!

Ice cream, family and the sun made for a great afternoon spent talking about many a subject which was nice because we don't get together often as a family throughout the year. My shoulders are definitely looking less peely-wally than they have been!!!

The evening called for us to all get our glad rags on and go out for some tea. We went to my favourite place in town called La Cantina which is an Italian restaurant which gives you incredible food envy with everyone's food around you!

We were told it were to choose a starter and a main because my Mum had already planned something for desert. I went with bruschetta to begin with that had mozzeralla, tomatoes and pesto on it. It was really tasty and not too filling which was exactly what I was going for.

Then I went with carbonara for my main which was a surprise because by default I usually choose lasange but I didn't have a panic this time while the waiter was asking what I wanted so I was quite proud with that!

Desert turned out to be a birthday cake for me! Even though my birthday was back in March read about what happened here this was actually the first time that all my brothers and sisters where here at the same time. The cake was soooo good and we also got ice cream to top it all off!

Sunday was a pretty lazy day. We had a very typical Scottish brunch with square sausage, black pudding and tattie scone which was just perfect because I hadn't had one in ages!

Then the adults had a 'secret powwow' as we were calling it and all of us young ones played the Wii as well as Cluedo which I won because I'm the queen at playing it if I do say so myself!

As today continued our guests left in dribs and drabs which is good because it doesn't give you the complete shock as the house suddenly gets really quiet!

Tonight I plan to spend my time relaxing with a bath and my book (I'm reading Outlander and it is fab) before I go back to school tomorrow!

What have you done over the weekend?

Pretty Little Liars Tag

Hey Guys!

It's official I am having PLL withdrawal symptoms since it finished at the end of my March with one of the craziest finales ever! Honestly it answered so many questions but gave me so many more to ask as well!

While looking all over the internet with some form of PLL news I came across this tag and I thought why the hell not!

1. Alison made her return to Rosewood in her statement red coat.
What is your wardrobe statement piece?
My statement wardrobe piece hmmm I would have to say my maroon blazer I can dress it up and I
can also dress it down and that is why I love it!

2. If you could raid anyone's wardrobe, who would it be?
If it had to be a character from Pretty Little Liars I would probably raid Aria's wardrobe! I like how it is quite of a grunge look but also very feminine if that makes sense it is just a good mix! If I was to chose someone outside of PLL then it would definitely be Taylor Swift's I mean have you seen her street style game recently?!

3. Which cast member would you go to if you had a problem?
Out of all the girls I would say Emily she just seems so lovely and that person who your whole friend group just turns to receive advice.

4. Which character's personality do you think you most relate to?
Personally, I would say Aria because she is quiet and loves book which is just me plus she is the small one in the group even though that isn't a personality but that is so me! One thing I would say is that I wouldn't date the teacher even if he did look like Ezra!

5. Which character's makeup would you most like to wear?
Honestly I don't really look at the makeup! I definitely take more of an interest in the clothes but if I had to choose I would say either Emily or Spencer because they both wear minimal makeup and don't go very out there which I like.

6. Which of the cast would you feel safest with in an 'A' situation?
For me this was obvious, Spencer! She just always seems to come up with a plan whatever situation she is in! I admit they don't always go to plan but it is comforting knowing that you have an idea on how to sort something out!

7. What has been the biggest shocking moment?
There is far too many to choose from!! But I would say when we found out that Ezra knew Alison before he met Aria and that he had been writing a book about everything. Oh and when Alison came back from the dead.!! Oh and also when Mona came back from the dead. (Told you there was too many to choose from.

8. Who is your favourite character?
This is tricky because I like them all for different reasons. I would say Aria she just seems the most relatable to me anyway as I have answered in a previous question but also some of the stuff that Hanna comes out with cracks me up so one of them!

9. Sum up these characters in 1 word:
Jenna - bitter
Paige - loving
Toby - unreliable
Cece - suspicious
Melissa - kill her off already
Jason - hot
Lucas - annoying

10. Who do you think is 'A'?
Honestly I still have no clue. I do think however that this Charles character isn't A just another one of A's minions.

There you have it the PLL tag! Do you watch Pretty Little Liars?
If so who is your favourite character?

5. It is warm enough to go outside without a jacket but not too warm that you feel all sticky.

6. Lambs, little baby lambs.

7. Wild flowers that have very pretty colours.

8. Everyone just seems that little bit happier.

9. I can wear my sunglasses and not get strange looks from strangers.

Polagram ~ My Experience + £5 Off Discount Code

Hey Guys

A trend I have been loving recently is Polaroids. Actually when I think about it I have always loved Polaroid pictures but now that it is coming back it just keeps fueling my love for them!

Unfortunately I do not own my own Polaroid camera (I will own one eventually!) but when I was scrolling through the App Store looking for some new apps to add to my iPhone an app called Polagram popped up saying that it prints pictures from your iPhone!

A thing that annoys me about the digital age is that we hardly ever have actual hard copies of our photos. Yes we back them up but sometimes it is nice to actually hold them in your hand and put them on display!

I had plenty of space on my iPhone and I thought why the hell not. I might use it once or not at all but seeing as it was free I decided to download it.

Man, I was definitely not disappointed! Polagram prints Polaroids!!!! Yes, you read it right they print your pictures into Polaroids as soon as I seen this I jumped at it! They can also print your photos into normal size or make them into items that can make really cute presents like photo books or a big poster with all of your pictures!

One thing that I loved about Polagram is that it is really affordable with a single print being £0.39
which personally I think is great for a printed photo.

I ended up getting 10 photos which came up to around £5. I knew I didn't want to get too many incase the quality wasn't that great but once I actually had them they were a great quality and I definitely plan to use this app again and again.

I ordered my photos on a Tuesday and they arrived the next Saturday so that is *stops to count days on fingers* 4 days which may not be that great but 1.) the photos came from Germany 2.) where I live counts as an island when delivering even though it isn't so I was surprised with how quick they came.

My Polaroids came in a super cute envelope as well as this cool paper to make origami rabbits. I have only made one of them but I found it really difficult and enlisted my Mum to help make it!

One thing for sure is that my photos look great and are such a good quality. I featured that I didn't do it that you can get a caption printed at the bottom. This might cost more I don't know because I didn't try it but I prefer just to write them myself!

One thing you get at then end once you have ordered whatever you are buying is a discount code and well I thought I would share mine with you guys so you can get £5 OFF!

I hope you use the discount code and enjoy your prints as much as I use mine!

My Top 3 Travel Bucket List Destinations

Hey Guys!

With turning 18 comes freedom lots of freedom. The freedom that is appealing to me the most is the fact that I can now travel as much as I want. I admit having no money is making that difficult but a girl can dream right?

I spend my days looking up all of these cool to travel to and trying to work out how much it will all be. Also trying to decide if I want to travel solo (which sounds extremely appealing) or travelling with my closest friends.

Today I thought I would share with you my top 3 travel bucket list destinations and seeing as I have pretty much the whole world to see narrowing it down to just 3 is difficult but I did do it!

1. East Coast Of Australia

The whole east coast just sounds amazing to me. With the stunning Great Barrier Reef, which I feel is something that everyone wants to see, to Fraser Island the world's largest sand island the oppurtunites just seem endless. Also this seems like a great place for backpackers with all of the hostels as well as the great nightlife ;)

2. Los Angeles - America

I've never actually left Europe which means I have never been to the USA but I have heard so many great things about it from people who travel there! I chose LA out of all the hundreds of places I could go because this seems like one of the most diverse places. Also the LA just seems to be filled to the brim with culture!

3. Iceland

A thing that really attracts me is the sun but one thing that also appeals to me is snow! One of my sisters went to Iceland around this time last year and said it was honestly the highlight of her life. Once she was back and she was telling us all of these crazy things she experienced especially her stories about seeing Geysers, Iceland just needed to be added to my bucket list!

So there you have it my top 3 bucket list destinations. Of course I want to see as much of the world as I can but these 3 definitely draw me in the most!

What are your top 3 travel bucket list destinations?

I'm Going To Vote Are You?

Hey Guys

One of the big adult things I can do now that I'm 18 is that I now have the right to vote. I know it's a big scary thing and honestly something that kind of freaks me out I mean by me drawing a cross in a box it is helping to decide who is going to help run the country!

With me being Scottish it means that the General Election that takes place in May is not my first time voting because I voted in the Scottish Referendum but it is still a big deal to me about voting to this scale.

You may be asking why I am talking about voting well it's because that to actually vote you need to be registered by the 20th April which is next Monday and if you haven't already registered I really urge you should.

Why? You may ask well it's because in my opinion Youth Voice in the UK isn't really a big deal to the politicians. Partly because lot's of people my age aren't really interested in politics (I admit I'm not really) but when it comes to times like these we should be taking an interest!

If you do vote it can help change the things in your life that could affect you in the future for example: the NHS or further education but if you don't vote remember nothing is going to change.

I admit politics isn't really aimed at our age group but as a British citizen we do have the right to vote so why not use that vote to help make a difference!

Voting can seem a bit like a chore because it involves a lot of thinking but really all you have to do is on Polling Day go to your Polling Station and cross a little box not much effort when you really think about it!

Remember some people in the world aren't allowed to vote and they are fighting to be able to help decide what happens to their own country. In fact if you look back at our history there was a time when women weren't even allowed to vote so I think you really should go out and do it!

So if you are 18 and haven't registered to vote here is a link Register To Vote

It only takes about 5 minutes and lets increase the number of votes from 18 to 24 year olds because at the last General Election less than half of our age who were eligible to vote did which is shocking.

Before I finish I just want you guys to think about this. You are being given the privilege to vote and honestly what are you going to get out of not voting? Nothing that's what! So please go register if you haven't already!

Chaos and the Calm ~ Album Review

Hey Guys!

I'm back with another album review today! Seeing as it is Monday I thought I could do a Music Monday post seeing as I am taking part in the Ultimate Blogging Challenge which means I post every single day in the month of April!

Today I have a debut album for you by the wonderful and extremely talented James Bay. I have been obsessed with James Bay for a while since about October possibly November time when I heard his debut single Hold Back The River.

I was hooked as soon as I heard this and with every new song he came out with I new I just had to get his album and man I was not disappointed! It came out on the 23rd March so I have had plenty of time to listen and indulge in the album and it also made me not listen to Taylor Swift every single day which is a bit of a miracle!

So on with the album review!

1. Craving

The opening track has quite a rocky sound as well as it being one of the more upbeat songs. I really love this song first thing in the morning and helps get me excited for the day!

Favourite Lyrics: "Never thought these streets could've out-grown me
I guess it wasn't enough"

2. Hold Back The River

Everyone actually thinks that this is the first single from the album but in fact it is the second. This was the song that made me fall in love with James Bay and man I'm so glad I did. This song is honestly such a tune!

Favourite Lyrics: "Tried to keep you close to me,
But life got in between"

3. Let It Go

Let It Go is definitely a personal favourite of mine from the album. The lyrics have so much meaning and really spoke to me when I really listened to them and it is a lesson that everyone could learn in love.

Favourite Lyrics: "So come on let it go, Just let it be, Why don't you be you,And I'll be me"

4. If You Ever Want To Be In Love

Again another favourite of mine. You can find me singing the lyrics (really badly) in the shower! Or anywhere in my house in fact. I guess I like this song so much because it is so catchy and you just can't help yourself but sing to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I'm not waiting, but I'm willing if you call me up"

5. Best Fake Song

Now this is an absolute tune of a song! It has such a good beat to it that you can't help but dance to! Also the lyrics are just so incredible and they cover an issue that I do often. This is definitely a favourite of mine from the more upbeat songs.

Favourite Lyrics: "And you don't have to care so don't pretend
Nobody needs a best fake friend"

6. When We Were On Fire

This song begins to slow the tempo down again after the last song. Personally, this song isn't anything special in my opinion so it doesn't really stand out but it does have a very strong sounding chorus.

Favourite Lyrics: "That we're losing light, our love is dying"

7. Move Together

I think this is one of the most beautifully written songs on the whole album. It is just sung with so much emotion and the lyrics honestly give you all the feels! I don't know what else to say except that this song is beautiful.

Favourite Lyrics: "We didn't get tonight, we don't have tomorrow"

8. Scars

Another super catchy song from the album. If you buy the deluxe edition you also get a live version of this song from the iTunes Festival. I just love this song to be honest another one is beautifully written and James Bay wrote this himself.

Favourite Lyrics: "We can't leave us behind anymore, We'll have to hurt for now, But next time, there's no doubt, 'Cause I can't go without you"

9. Collide

This song brings the upbeat tone back to the album after it has begun to slow down a bit. Also the lyrics sound so hopefully. I mean he sounds so sure that this love is going to return to him and to have that is kind of incredible.

Favourite Lyrics: "I know we'll call it the end, But it's always always a lie"

10. Get Out While You Can

Again this is a song that I personally don't love as much as the others. Get Out While You Can blends in with the album which isn't a bad thing because it is needed but I enjoy listening to it. This also keeps the upbeat tone of the album going for another track.

Favourite Songs: "Don't let the nights slip through your hands
The world is wide from where you stand"

11. Need The Sun To Break

This is another beautiful song. In the composition and writing. I really love this song especially when I am out with the dog surrounded by nature I think that is when it speaks to me the most.

Favourite Lyrics: "Been in the dark for weeks and I've realized you're all I needed"

12. Incomplete

This is the final song on the album and it is another catchy one. I don't know what it is about this song that makes it so good but it just is. I feel that this is a recurrence in the album. Just every song gets better and better as the album goes on.

Favourite Lyrics: "I don't want us to break up in the cloud
All I want is to stay us to stay with you now"

In the deluxe edition there are another 4 tracks which I must say are definitely worth buying! I love this album as a whole because of all the rises and falls throughout the album but also it has so many tracks that standout so much that pretty much every song could be a single.

Do you like James Bay?

My Life Is Changing

Hey Guys!

On the 24th April this year I will of officially left school. Yip that's right after that date I'm going to be chucked into the world of adulthood and I'm so scared!

I have been in a school setting since the age of 5 so 13 years and very soon it is all going to change!

I spoke about my life after school, at least I think I have, a little bit here on my blog but I don't think I ever told you what is going to be happening exactly so today I thought I would share it with you.

As you guys know with my personal struggles with Mental Health my last 2 years in school haven't been the best in fact who am I kidding they have been awful! I have spent more time in my bed not being able to get up than actually in school. There have been points when I can't even walk into the school building without panicking!

Because of this my grades have suffered and I haven't been able to sit exams. This means that I don't have the qualifications to go to University and study languages which was something I had always pictured myself doing while growing up.

Instead I am off to study media specifically radio at college because even though the past 2 years I haven't sat exams the year I did in 4th year I got all A's (not to brag or anything). I am so excited and even though it isn't what I pictured myself doing I'm glad that I'm going to study it because it is something that I have always been interested in.

I will be studying at the City Of Glasgow college which I so excited for because Glasgow is a city that I love. I knew I wanted to study in Glasgow straight away because it is a city I am comfortable with and know well which will definitively help my anxiety so it doesn't blow up like it has in the past. Also it is an easy place for me to get home in case my anxiety does become bad.

The course I'm studying is 1 year long and after that I can either go and do a higher qualification or apply to go into Year 2 of University which if I'm still blogging you will hear about.

Also I am going to be leaving home for the first time which I'm really scared about but also really excited about. I live by the sea and I'm excited to find out what it will be like living up in a big city where everything is right at your fingertips!

Are you leaving home for the first time? If so are you nervous?

BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge | 8tracks Playlist

Hey Guys!

I am a firm advocate for the app 8tracks. I am constantly on it listening to playlists as well as making playlists myself and today I am going to share another of those playlists.

In my opinion a musician has made it in the UK if they are invited onto BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. I mean it is such a well known show that American artists know that once they have been on that they have officially made it.

If you are not familiar with the Live Lounge basically it is a studio where artists perform completely live hence the name. They usually perform their current single and then perform a cover of another popular song at the moment.

That is what this playlist is all about, those covers.

I plan to add to this playlist over time so I hope you enjoy it! If you can to listen here.

1. Sing (Ed Sheeran Cover) - Kodaline
2. Riptide (Vance Joy Cover) - Taylor Swift
3. Take Me To Church (Hozier Cover) - Ed Sheeran
4. Best Song Ever (One Direction Cover) - Gabrielle Aplin

Sisterhood of the World Blogger's Award

Hey Guys,

I always get a warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach when I am nominated for a blogging award because I feel like I'm apart of this community and today is no different!

Today I was nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger's Award by the lovely Kate from Wallflower Teens which was so nice of you so thank you!

 the rules:
1) Thank and link the blogger who nominated you
2) Answer ten questions you were asked
3) Nominate another ten bloggers
4) Create ten questions for your nominations to answer

1. What is your favourite film?
My favourite film hmm I have no clue it changes all the time! Growing up I had an obsession with Pocahontas as well as The Goonies but right now my favourite would probably be If I Stay which is a film adaptation  of the book by the same name.

2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
It would definitely be between Byron Bay in Australia which is a place I am always reading about on blogs online because it seems just like the perfect place for an adventure. Also New York is high up there because I haven't even been to America!

3. What's your favourite of your own blog posts?
I think my favourite kind of posts of my own would be any of the anxiety related ones because people seem to really respond to them. I am really quite proud of my Getting Help? post which I had people message me privately saying that it really helped them.

4. Top 3 beauty products?
I'm not even sure if I own 3 hahaha. 1.) My Rimmel London lipstick in 107 2.) Simple's Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash  3.) This bright blue nail varnish that I have can't even think of the brand at the moment!

5. Are you more of a Free People, H&M or Forever 21 kind of person?
Well for one I'm not even sure if we have Free People here in the UK but from what I have seen of their clothes from Pinterest they are really pretty but I would have to say Forever 21 I am forever dreaming about all of their clothes.

6. Do you play an instrument?
I made an attempt at the French Horn when I was about 10 but after about a year I gave up because it was awful I honestly hated it! I would however love to be able to play the guitar!

7. Who do you look up to?
I guess in the famous person way I look up to Taylor Swift I just think it is amazing that she is still so down to earth and so kind to everyone. Someone who is in my life would be my childminder growing up called Ann who has been through so much but still has a smile on her face everyday.

8. What is your favourite fashion quote?
You know what? I don't have one nothing springs to mind at all!

9. One thing you could not live without and why?
Music. I mean with one song it can take you back to a special memory or feeling. Literally with a few notes of a song it can take you back to a time in your life and I think that is really poetic.

10. Tell us one thing about your personality
I can't give any advice to save myself. I literally such at it! My friends and I all suck at it but we still got to each other for it which makes me laugh quite a bit!

My nominations

So that's my Sisterhood of the World Blogger's Award hope you enjoyed it :)

Throwback Thursdays: Childhood Movies

Hey Guys!

Seeing as I am doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge this month it means that I am blogging every single day during April (crazy I know) but I think it is going quite well let me know if you think so too!

A popular trend on Instagram or pretty much any other social media site is to have a little throwback into your life on a Thursday and that is what I am bringing you today!

Yip, that's right I'm going to show you a few of my favourite films growing up and why I loved them!

1. High School Musical - What girl didn't love this movie growing up? I was obsessed with this and used to blare the CD all day long and make up little dance routines and everything! Also Zac Efron is in it and is still to this day my celebrity crush!

2. Free Willy - I adored this movie growing up! I just remember being at my childminder's house and always asking to watch this. I also loved the second one but I'm definitely not a fan of the second one!

3. Annie (The musical) - My favourite version was the one where the girl had ginger hair if I'm honest Disney's version just didn't live up to this one! Again you can find me singing along to this movie all the way through it is honestly such a classic!

4. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - Again my favourite is the older version. I just used to watch it all of the time. I always used to dream about having a chocolate factory in fact I still do!

5. Pocahontas  - This movie to this day is still my favourite Disney movie. I used was really inspired as a little girl about Pocahontas fought for what she believed in and she was such a badass character. I remember running outside singing Colours Of The Wind at the top of my lungs in my bare feet like she did at the top of my climbing frame.

 6. The Goonies - I always say that if you didn't watch this growing up you definitely missed out. This movie was actually the first 12 I ever watched when I was only 8 living the thug life I know! This movie was actually on the TV earlier this week and gave me the inspiration to write this post.

7. Bridge To Teribithia - I always had a huge imagination growing up and this movie fueled my wild imagination even more. My niece and I created our own Teribithia that had a flag and a secret spot for Oreos and everything on the beach! I can tell you are all jealous ;)

8. Billy Elliot - I've talked about my love for all things dance before but when I was little this movie inspired me to work even harder at it! I was a little young maybe when I first watched it because it is a 15 but if I didn't I probably wouldn't of put so much effort into my dancing.

9. Harry Potter - I don't think anyone my age can make a list of their favourite movies let alone childhood movies without putting this on the list! I grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione and I loved going to the cinema to watch the new films as well as waiting up till midnight to get the new copies of the books!

10. Sound of Music - Can you tell I love musicals?! But yes this was another movie that I felt like I watched all the time especially with my Gran so I guess that's why this movie has a soft spot in my heart because I always remember her when I'm watching her. This was another movie that I used to act out in my garden!

That is just a few of my favourite movies growing up. What were yours?

Wishlist | Forever 21

Hey Guys

As we are coming into the warmer months I am beginning to realise that my wardrobe really needs to be updated!

So I have been perusing lots of websites to see what I would quite like to own myself.

One of my absolutely favourite shops ever is Forever 21 and whenever I am looking for something new it is always the first place I look! I have gathered a few pieces from their 'new arrivals' section that I liked and if you like them too you can go grab them too!

1. Manhattan Graphic Tee - I have a thing for Manhattan and I also have a thing for graphic tees so when I saw this I knew it was perfect and it's a pretty decent price as well! £10.00

2. Water Colour Floral Flutter - Sleeve Top - I liked this top because it has pretty flowers on it, it also has pastel shades in it and it was only £9.00

3. Open-Knit Crop Top - I'm going to a festival in the summer with a group of friends and I feel like this crop top just screams festival! £12.00

4. Daisy - Embroidered Denim Shorts - I always struggle with shorts because I always feel like they are way too short but when I saw these I just knew I had to add this to my list, I mean how cute are those flowers? £18.00

5. Crisscross Cutout Bikini - This bikini is just pretty cute and I love the cutout detailing and as it's a bikini I feel like you can get away with it! Bottoms - £10.00 Top - couldn't find a link sorry!

6. High Waist Striped Shorts - One thing I have always loved is the sailor style I can remember loving it when I was 12 years old and still do now so these shorts are just perfect! £12.00

7. Crochet - Trimmed Chambray Top - A trend I have been loving is all the little snippets of lace and this piece does it just right! £ 15.00

8. Dropped - Pleat Chambray Shorts - Yes, you did read that right these are actually shorts! I love things like this and especially good for windy days on the beach which you get quite a lot in Scotland! £14.00

9. Tartan Plaid Top - I love to wear plaid and in the summer I find it can get quite hot in it so with this top having no sleeves it is like the answer to all of my problems! £14.00

There you have it a few things I have been loving from Forever 21. What is your favourite clothing brand?

My First Ever Concealer

Hey Guys

A while back I published a post about how I finally went out and bought My First Ever Lipstick and today I'm here to do the same except that it is with concealer!

I'm really careful when it comes to putting products on my skin because if I'm honest I have really crap skin. Because of this I don't wear makeup and try to avoid oily products at all cost!

Recently though I have been wanting to cover up my spots a bit more which is unusual for me because I just feel that we should embrace them!

When I went on the hunt for the perfect concealer I did tons of research online to see what was a product that was worth your money. I also didn't want to spend a ton because well it is only my first concealer and what if I didn't like it?

A product that lots of people were raving about (and still are) is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. So I thought why not I give this a try and I did! I got this product in the shade 20 also known as True Ivory.

Now my review can't be as good as other bloggers because this is the first concealer I have ever bought but for the month I have owned this product I have been really enjoying it! I don't wear it on a day to day basis just when I have something big planned like a night out or I am going out to a fancy lunch.

When using this concealer under my eyes it has given me good coverage and has blended in really well making my eyes look a lot brighter and helping those pesky dark circle disappear which I have loved!

Also I find that I don't have to put a lot of the product on for it to actually cover the redness on my skin  from my blemishes as well as helping to conceal my spots. Which I find great as I don't want to add too much product onto my skin that is actually needed.

I also find it easy to apply which as a newbie to makeup I am finding super helpful because I always panic that it is going to be really difficult!

I'm now on the hunt for a foundation and your suggestions are extremely welcome!

My Easter Tradition

Hey Guys,

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter spending some quality time with all of your families, I certainly did that's for sure!

Easter is probably one of the biggest family get togethers we have in the Lauder family partly because we are such a big family and it is difficult to fit us all in most of the time.

We all met up at a place called The Tarzan Dam to chuck our eggs down the hill. Yes, I said chuck not roll. The aim really is to try and hit someone if I'm honest! (we are such a lovely bunch I know). Of course all of our eggs have been beautifully decorated before we chuck them down the hill but if I'm honest no one looks at them so the whole sitting at the kitchen and decorating the egg part if kind of pointless...

Usually the children and some of the adults go down to the bottom of the hill to throw the eggs back up to the people at the top so they can chuck them again. A thing that always happens that someone ends up hitting a car with an egg!

Once all of the eggs are all smashed and mushed into the ground most, not all, of the people go further down the hill to the actual dam and for some reason try to run up it... I have no idea how this tradition came about but it is something that everyone in the Lauder family has tried at least once in their lifetime!

Then after about an hour of chucking eggs and running up damns we head to a local hall where we have a picnic. There was roughly 40 people there so you can just imagine all of the food we had. There was sausage rolls, pizza, mini sausages, chicken, pizza, tuna pasta and then a ton of crips and cakes.

We basically spend hours and hours trying to consume as much food as you can into our stomachs! I love this part not just because of the food but the fact that we all get to have a bit of a catch up which is really nice because we don't get to do it often enough!

This year because the weather has been super nice a lot of the family went off on a walk. I didn't because I was in a massive food coma so I stayed outside with the rest of the family and tried to get a bit of a tan!

After about 3 hours at the hall it was time to pack up and head  home after a fun filled family day!

Do you have any Easter family traditions?
